Topics include: historical and social context, sustainability innovations and options, fabric construction and specifications, manufacturing, laundry, patterns, TS, design and trends and fit evolution. Calculating backwards; analyzing a denim garment and break it down in all the different topics and details which have been discussed during the theory of this particular course.

1/2 DAY PROGRAM.Our basic sustainability course will tell you everything you need to know about the impact of denim, current and new innovations, sustainable practices and the upcoming need for better transparency and circularity.
In this interactive program, we invite you to discuss various topics on the impact of denim and the role of sustainability in the world of today and future development. The course offers a hands-on approach to the topic and includes tips & tricks on how to offer more sustainable products and consume more sustainably yourself.

In this 1-day advanced CIRCULARITY/sustainability program, we are stepping up our game and move from sustainability towards circularity. The course will lead you towards cleaner production in every step of the production chain and discusses the better choices that have to be made. This course does not only discuss the impact of denim but more importantly, how to decrease this impact and how to incorporate circular design in denim development.
Based on the jeans redesign guidelines of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the expertise of our sustainability expert and the resources of Denim City, we offer a hands-on approach to turn these guidelines into practice and incorporate a circular and sustainable way of thinking into your future denim designs and development.
Who: Industry designers, developers and anyone that would like to explore the jeans redesign guidelines of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and learn how to put them into practice.
Our Laundry basic course is a 1 Day course where you will get a general overview of laundry processes, understanding basic denim washes, sustainable solutions and practicing with denim in our Lab laundry under the supervision of professionals.
Why: introduction to the basic laundry processes for better understanding and to improve communication with the factory and the laundry.
