About Denim City
Denim City is an innovation campus founded by House of Denim Foundation with a clear mission: to connect and inspire our stakeholders, to bring our industry “Towards a Brighter Blue“. Everything we do is geared to making denim dryer, cleaner and smarter through education, advocacy and collaboration projects.
Denim City aims to raise the bar, reduce environmental impact, stimulate adoption of more sustainable innovations and bring the worldwide denim industry together under one roof.
The physical location was opened in May 2015 in De Hallen Amsterdam, one of the coolest location of Europe. Denim City brings together our industry futures key stakeholders, brands, producers, mills, launderers, academics and students. The only way to re-invent our industry was through intense collaboration.
Denim City was established by teaming up with strong organisations and their generous funds.
The main components of Denim City: a craftsman workshop, a knowledge center called “Academy” with its own garment “Archive“, a facility for sustainable development and research called “The Lab” and a classroom for “Jean Schools International Course” and a “Store” where all these activities are communicated with end-consumer.
